Growing up this house had always intrigued me. It held an air of mystery with a bit of foreboding thrown in for good measure. I am sure the people living here are nice and normal folks but I had to create an image inspired by all things horror. A tuner post, such a small simple thing that is interesting to me.  When I processed this I had   " A Growing Boy Needs His Lunch" by Dead Kennedys"   playing and the last line seemed fitting: Turn on Tune in Cop out Drop kick Turn in Tune out Click for a larger view

I was going for moody and inspired by classic horror movies since it is October and Halloween is quickly approaching.  The end result does have that look to me but as I looked at the image the first line of Led Zeppelin's "Thank You" came to mind. As I looked at the image and ran the song through my head it seemed to fit this photo. Click for a larger view

The Rocky Mountains are inspiring and this particular shot reminded me of one line from  Equestrian by US Royalty ; " I Come Down From The Mountain ". You could say that this is lyrically inspired. For some reason this photo reminded me of the Concrete Blonde song Darkening Of The Light . There are times where a song might inspire me to shoot something but this time the song came to mind after I had processed the image. It seems to happen fairly often that lyrics will inspire an image for me or at least the final outcome of a particular image.   Sometimes I take a shot and when I look at it to process the image a song or part of a some pops into my head.   Here's one where that exact thing happened.
