We all get to the point where we miss the big picture of where we are headed and we can't see the forest for the trees. It does a person good to step back and realize that the little details of something we may dwell on are not always the most important thing happening. The Rocky Mountains are inspiring and this particular shot reminded me of one line from  Equestrian by US Royalty ; " I Come Down From The Mountain ". You could say that this is lyrically inspired. The time for you to blossom is now. Stand up and be yourself no matter what anyone says. It is time for you to show the world your inner beauty. Or maybe this is just a flower picture. Either way, enjoy.

Everyone has a reason to be in the spotlight but sometimes it takes someone to recognize and encourage you to step into the spotlight and shine. There are times when you may feel that you have no reason to shine or standout and need someone to give you the courage and friendly nudge to fully be you. When many people think of abandoned the first thing that comes to mind is an abandoned house, building, town or amusement park. These are certainly abandoned and usually have an interesting history waiting to be uncovered. However there are other things and even people that can be abandoned. People abandon a career, a lifestyle, a car, a city or a relationship. Sometimes the abandonment is a good move and other times, not so much. Click for a larger view If you have abandoned something that you truly wish you had back, take a good look at the circumstance and perhaps you can. If you cannot, remember that even if you left something or someone behind you will always have the memories to cherish; even if they are painful at times. Look at the abandoned as something that had it's glory and now stands as a memory, even if that memory is fading. Chin up, look forward to the future and keep the good memories in your heart.

For some reason this photo reminded me of the Concrete Blonde song Darkening Of The Light . There are times where a song might inspire me to shoot something but this time the song came to mind after I had processed the image. The time to simplify has come. I have moved my site to a simple magazine blog style and will be selling prints through my Crated page . The previous site was just not in line with what I wanted or with what I am doing so the time was right. You know what they say, the simple things in life are the best. What is old is new again, and vintage is cool.  Ok that was enough cliche but I do like the ease of a small blog with a link to one page for those who want to purchase a print.  My thought is with something easier to manage I will post more on here for you, the wonderful reader.
